Assignment & Outcomes

This assignment requires you:

  • to write a 5-7 page research essay that applies further research to one of the topics from your assigned readings relating to food
  • to use at least 3 outside sources to support your thesis statement from the library's holdings (books and articles in print or through a library database)
  • to cite your sources according to MLA citation style

This library research guide will provide you with the resources to:

  • locate resources to utilize for topic development and/or refining your topic
  • identify an information research strategy and explore different types of information sources 
  • evaluate sources by determining whether they are credible and support your thesis
  • properly cite your sources in MLA citation style
