Working through this guide will help you learn how to:

  • Find information to give you a better understanding of the issues in your policy presentation.
  • Locate circulating books to help you gather more detailed information.
  • Search for articles in databases. 
  • Cite your sources.


Policy Presentation

You will be identifying a policy problem and three possible responses to that problem.

Identify -> Why is it a problem? What is the history of the problem? What is the magnitude of the problem?

Response -> Three different strategies for dealing with the problem.

One of the items you will be evaluated on is "Preparation/Depth of Research". The library is here to help with that!


Films on Demand

Films on Demand is a great resource for class presentations. There are videos on many of the topics assigned in this class as well as examples of public speaking throughout history.
