Your Information Competency Project

The Assignment...
 

The class will be divided into small groups.  Each group will be given one of three topics:

  1. Media Bias in Criminal Justice
  2. Discretion of Criminal Justice Professionals
  3. Restorative Justice

For each topic area there will be either 2 or 3 groups created (depending upon class size).  Each group will be required to use a certain type of “research” (newspapers/popular magazines OR trade journals OR scholarly journals) to create a 5 minute presentation on their topic (details explained in class).  Additionally each individual will produce a 1.5- 2 page paper using APA in-text citations and a Work Cited page based upon the group research. 


Each group will need 3 sources of research and will need to use at least 4 in-text citations in the paper.
