Here's a guide for your literary research assignment!

So far, you have a LOT of latitude, but the idea is to dig into a topic that allows you to discover the impact and/or influence of an author or work, for example:

  • how the writing reflected or affected the culture of its period
  • how it impacted later writers and their works
  • how it compares to similar pieces
  • what literary devices or features of the writing make it stand out in comparison to other works

These are just some ideas...  Consult your instructor for guidance if you have an idea you want to explore and aren't sure how to approach it.

The tabs in this guide will direct you to sources that will provide a wealth of information.
